Professionals in the waste industry are invited to submit an abstract in English before November 15th, 2011, to participate in the Waste Management & Recycling Conference SAVE the PLANET with non-commercial paper. Sales Presentations: we do not accept sales presentations of any kind. All presentations must be "commercial free

Abstracts are invited for the following

Topics:

1. Waste Prevention (minimization)

• Waste Prevention /MSW (municipal solid waste) minimization – examples from developed countries for individual waste streams
• Waste Management Good Practices in the Developed Countries & PPPs

2. Recycling/Resource Recovery

• Recycling ; Challenges and Limits of Recycling
• Energy Recovery; Biogas Power Generation -an Effective Solution to Waste Treatment
• Recycling of:WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) / Metals/Bromine recoveryUsed tiresBio-WasteHealthcare (medical) waste

3. Energy and Resource Recovery

• Energy recovery and materials recycling at WtE facilities
• Sustainable waste management and energy supply: WtE and District Heating
• How to divert waste from landfilling? WtE hand-in-hand with recycling
• Good Legislation Practices and How to Avoid the Bad One / EU Landfill Directive, Renewable Energy Sources Directive and Waste Incineration Directive and its Implementation;

4. Landfilling

• Engeneering Technologies for Solid Waste in Landfill Treatment

5. Environmental Aspects of Waste Treatment Technologies

• Environmental aspects (air emission, water/soil pollution) of different MSW management technologies (landfilling, incineration, composting, recycling)

6. South-East European Session

Abstract Submission Requirements: 

1. Language: English
2. Presentation title
3. Topic number
4. Names of all the authors, organization, address and contact information (including e-mail)
5. Size: maximum of 500 words and no tables, figures and/or diagrams

Instructions: 

1.  Completed abstract forms must be received no later than November 15th, 2011.
2. Abstracts not conforming to the abstract submission requirements will not be forwarded for peer review.The presentation must not have a commercial character.
3. Each primary author must also submit a brief biography (max. 100 words) + photo with the abstract.
4. All participants must register for the Conference in order to be accepted as speakers, unless invited.
5. Notification of acceptance/rejection will be not later than January 15, 2012.

• Abstract submission: 15 November  2011
• Notification of acceptance/rejection: 15 January 2012
• Full paper for proceedings only: 29 Feb. 2012
• Early bird registration: 15  January 2012
